A warm welcome to our beautiful rustic mountain Chalet. Situated at 1414 m.a.s.l near one of the pilgrimage paths of St. Jacob (Jacobsweg), the Chalet provides breathtaking views over the City of Schwyz, the Lake of Lucerne and the surrounding mountains. Nestled in a lush green field and surrounded by pines it provides complete privacy and quietness to withdraw for a shorter or longer break. It is a perfect spot to restore one´s equilibrium from the hectic of modern life. During spring and summer, the abundance of wild flowers enhances the awareness of stepping back to a simpler natural lifestyle.

This has been our family holiday home where our children freely explored the surroundings without danger of traffic or disturbing neighbors. Whether you relax on the terrace with a glass of wine watching the sun cast its last rays upon the Mythen, or sit in front of a blazing log fire, a sense of peaceful contentment prevails.

The Chalet is fully equipped for all needs: On the upper floor there are two bedrooms with two single beds each and a smaller room with a bunk bed plus WC and washbasin. There is also a spacious living room with an open fireplace and adjoining terrace with sitting area.

On the ground floor there is a cosy open kitchen / living area with a fireplace and Swedish stove. A renovated bathroom with shower, washing machine and tumble dryer completes the chalet. In the outdoor area under the terrace there is also a comfortable patio and bar-b-cue area adjoining the lawn.

Biking and Hiking trails are on the doorstep. One of the highlights of the area is a two hour hike to the top of the 1898 m.a.s.l Grosse Mythen which provides an incredible 380° panoramic view from the mountains in Glarus to Uri and Lucerne. Along the beautiful hiking trail, several restaurants offer refreshments and at the top is a small restaurant with Swiss specialities made from local products. Heading in the opposite direction towards Hochstückli and Sattel it takes about an hour to reach Europe´s longest suspension bridge, the Raiffeisen - Skywalk. The nearby 600m long, year-round open, sled run and entertainment park is perfect for families. Our neighboring farmer has a tiny self-service store selling homemade goat and cow milk cheeses, delicious yogurt and butter along with a selection of teas and natural salves made from the abundance of wild flowers.

The Chalet offers everything needed to enjoy a quiet weekend or longer break away from the hectic of modern life. With two bedrooms leading from the spacious living area and adjoining terrace, to the downstairs cosy living / kitchen area and outside patio with bar-b-cue, one can relax and enjoy the beauty of the tranquil surroundings.
